The Anglican and U.S. Episcopal Dilemma - Words from Bishops around the World
(Work ON This PAge In Progress)
As an Anglican priest, I have very little interest in publicizing or dwelling on the controversies surrounding the U.S. Episcopal departure from biblical morality and gospel centered faith. There are plenty of websites that will offer blow-by-blow descriptions, both within the United States and around the World Wide Anglican Communion. Biblical Anglicans in the U.S. are grateful for the stand and voice of Anglican leaders continue to “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints”. - Jude 1:3 Meanwhile we who confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior and regularly joined together around his table need to continue in the kingdom building activities Christ has called us to. On this page you will find interviews and exposure to Anglican Bishops committed to standing with us in that sacred task:
Archbishop Peter Akinola
Bishop Frank Lyons
My Bishop in Bolivia
I am personally blessed to have new connections with African and South American brothers and sisters in Christ. Christians in the global South have many things to teach us regarding costly discipleship and Christian community. As a Bible believing Anglican, I’m grateful for bishops standing with us, as we seek to obey the Lord and and “earnestly contend for the faith once delivered to the saints” - Jude 1:3 The Episcopal Church of North America has been in the forefront among various mainline denominations in leaving the historic - orthodox faith, throwing away traditional morality and denying Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God and Savior of the world. Thank God for bishops who believe the Scriptures to be authoritative truth. Although this conversation with Archbishop Henry Luke Orombi, the Archbishop and Primate of Uganda may most relevant to those concerned with the United States Episcopal Church controversy, I think anyone would find it interesting to listen to this man of faith coming to help American Christians in a season of crisis.
