Target Groups of Ministry: Inmates, ex-offenders and their families
Current Needs: Volunteers wanted at local Michigan Prison Fellowship office, serving in the following capacities:
Aftercare Assistant — Should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access software. Ability to research the internet to identify statewide community resources for re-entry. Assist with maintaining Prison Fellowship Michigan Reconnect website. Time Commitment 2 to 4 hours per week.
Angel Tree Assistant — Should be knowledgeable in Microsoft Office software. Provide general office support for the Angel Tree programs including correspondence and filing. Time commitment 2 to 4 hours per week.
General Office Assistant — Familiar with Microsoft Office software. Provide assistance as needed. Hours are flexible, 4 to 6 hours per month.
Future: New aftercare website (www.rjcmichigan.org). New community resource network servicing victims, offenders and families (www.rjcusa.org).
Events: Prison Fellowship Overviews ("First in a series of Easy as 1-2-3 Prison Ministry training that will provide information about and preapre you for pirson ministry. The goal is to give you a view of the need and spend time understanding the calling God has placed on His people, His church, to minister to inmates, ex-offenders and their families")Dates:

November 13, 2007: 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., Mount Hope Church, 202 S. Creyts Rd., Lansing MI
Prayer: For the Angel Tree children attending Christian summer camps. Pray for God's wisdom in developing TDR (Transformational Discipleship and Reconciliation) ministry to prisoners and ex-prisoners. Pray that God will continue to raise up college students with a commitment to prison ministry. Pray more churches will become involved in ministering to men and women coming out of prison.
