Target Group: People who need food (children making up a significant percentage)
Current Needs: Volunteers for food packing, mailing or event assistance in all five Metro Detroit distribution centers. Gleaners has over 400 partnering agencies to help distribute food to those who need it most. Donations ($1.00 providing about 12 pounds of food).
Future: Several admirable visionary goals: e.g., leading the southeast Michigan region as their anti-hunger advocate and public educator in order to secure resources and mobilize people to stop hunger.
