On October 17, about 70 men showed up for a
tribute to Rev. Loren Siffring. Loren has been a
significant person in my life, we walked
together for number of years.  We began a church
here in Rochester, where he eventually left his
successful medical practice to serve as a full time
pastor, a bit later I also served full time with him as
the associate pastor.

Loren was a important part of my development
as a minister of the Gospel.  This is a poem I wrote
for that evening as tribute to Loren.  In addition to
his ministry, Loren has developed into a very skilled
and respected artist.

Luke, the Gospel writer was also a physician,
tradition also points back at Luke being a painter.

I made the connection and wrote the poem.
