FastTrac to the Future to the
Pursuit of "Happyness"
I have been wearing a different hat at times, as I've been launching the website LookUpDetroit.com. It's an exciting project that I believe will serve Metro Detroit in a unique way. Yesterday, I was privileged to attend "FastTrac to the Future — the first day of your entrepreneurial adventure."

Christopher Gardner the inspiration for the movie played by Will Smith, entitled "The Pursuit of Happyness" was our keynote speaker for the day. Interestingly enough in the movie Christopher is caring for his five-year-old boy; yesterday I learned in reality his son was 14 months old as Christopher a single parent was dealing with hardships, poverty and homelessness on his way to success and "happyness". What a great speaker to address 600 folks pursuing dreams in Metro Detroit. My thanks to all involved in hosting this event; including the Kauffman Foundation, Wayne State University and friends at TechTown - a Detroit - Entrepreneurial Incubator. The day was captured beautifully by Jim Nuttall and Stephanie Crowley as they chronicled the activities and messages with their magical crayons. I captured the day with some photos, again as is my custom using no flash at events and losing a some photo sharpness.
Enjoy a slide show of great Detroit Event.
